|Charles is serving Life in prison in Marquette, MI where he listens to Smile FM in his cell.
"Dear Smile FM,
I love you guys! Because I am in a solitary enforcement cell, (Where I have been for the past 10 ½ years), I don't receive a lot of Christian fellowship. Therefore it is such a blessing to have a radio station so that I can stay tuned to your station 24-7 every day.
Being in my situation can be quite trying when the cell's walls attempt to close in on me and dramatically intensify my negative thoughts with despair. However, when the darkness gets too close for comfort, I put on my headphones and turn up the volume on the radio to block out the madness of my environment. I do that because the music you play ministers hope, peace, love and encouragement to my soul in a profound way. After doing that, it never takes long before the storms are made calm that threaten my happiness, sanity, and (shamefully at times) life.
You bring the glorious light of Jesus Christ into my cell every day, and the darkness flees. And for that, I thank you dearly and wish to support you with my faithful tithe. I don't receive very much money but you will receive 10% of every dollar. Enclosed please find a check.
God bless you!
Sincerely in Christ,
